If you’re in chorus, you might have heard about the Pillar Retreat that was held on Saturday, October 14th, in the Sanderson auditorium. Who am I kidding, of course you’ve heard of it!! Most of the chorus members came and I’m glad you all did! For those of you who couldn’t make it, you were greatly missed!
    Anyway, we started on Friday by being told which pillar we were in. All of the pillars seemed pretty cool and we all did a pretty good job of dressing in our pillar colors come Saturday. The first thing we did was watch the “Gods” and “Goddesses” perform a hilarious skit. Which I’d say, they performed pretty well, all things considered. After some more fun we made pillar flags out of a plain white flag and our pillar colored paint. Soon, they will be hung in the chorus room!
    We came in and made some pillar chants which all were super creative. Then we had competitions and ate food!! Lunch was fun and enjoyable with balloon fights and a couple girls singing with a guitar. Afterward, we practiced songs and received constructive criticism from other groups. The boys in Sound were such a crowd pleaser, I’m sure at least half of us had hearing problems for the rest of the day! As our wonder packed day came to an end, we played a game called “Chicken in a Hen House”. We had several epic falls and quite a few hundred laughs which ended a perfect day with the chorus group.
